Top-up Swimming Lessons

 Since 1994, swimming and water safety has been a statutory element of the national curriculum for physical education in England. All of our children at Brandling receive  swimming lessons in Y3 and Y4. The children currently attend Gateshead Leisure Centre and have coached swimming lessons from qualified Swimming Instructors. Our aim is to make sure the children are confident swimmers, can use a range of strokes effectively and can perform self-rescue if in water.

25m @ Brandling

We aspire for all our children to achieve 25m by the time they leave Brandling, therefore we provide additional after-school top up swimming lessons for free. Children will be asked and encouraged to attend this amazing opportunity to go for extra swimming lessons. Once children have completed their 25m, they will be awarded with a certificate and a badge!
