PE Awards
We are part of the Gateshead School Sport Partnership.
The Gateshead School Sports Partnership co-ordinates activities and facilitates collaboration amongst schools, their clusters and key partners. Their mission is to build an active and healthy future for all young people through the provision of high quality PE, school sport and physical activity.
They allow us to take part part in many competitions and flagship events such as Dance Festival, The Saltwell Fun Run and the Athletics Festival. We are also part of Heworth Grange High School sport cluster.
School Games Award
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Every year Brandling works really hard in order to fit the criteria to meet the School Games Award.

Blazing the Trail Award
BTT was an award launched in 2012 as the GSSP’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic legacy programme. With the aim of establishing a lasting legacy, the programme is built on various opportunities linked to the curriculum while also reflecting the 7 Olympic and Paralympic values:

Brandling achieved the DIAMOND award for 2018/2019.
Celebration Ceremony
Miss Cheetham collected Brandling's School Games Silver Award and Blazing the Trail Diamond Award in Nov 2019 with Olympic badminton champion Gail Emms MBE.
